Unlimited Travel Group, Sweden's largest listed event and travel group, is acquiring 100 percent of the shares in business travel agency Företagsresor i Umeå, which has 11 employees. The acquisition will strengthen both the group's offering within the business travel segment and its geographic presence in northern Sweden, where Luleå-based NEX Travel has also been part of the group since last year. – Through this acquisition, we are further strengthening our position within a segment with stable demand and in a region that is very dynamic, comments Charlotte Blum, CEO of Unlimited Travel Group. Företagsresor i Umeå is a well-managed company with solid profitability and strong local ties, making it a natural addition to the group's corporate portfolio.

The acquisition aligns with our strategy of carrying out acquisitions that contribute to long-term growth and sustainable results. The seller and majority owner is Mats Lindgren, who has been running the company for 30 years together with Annelie Sundberg and Karl-Gunnar Kungsman. The company had sales of SEK 95 million in 2025. The purchase price amounts to SEK 14 million, of which SEK 9.8 million will be paid upon possession and the remaining part after one year. – We have long been looking for the right partner to sell our life's work to.

Unlimited Travel Group is the right buyer with the ability to further develop the company in the way required to be a strategic partner to our customers in the future too, says Mats Lindgren. Företagsresor i Umeå will continue to operate with Umeå as its base, but organisationally will form part of NEX Travel’s offering within business, group, and conference travel with Linda Jadinge as CEO of both companies.

NEX Travel has around 40 employees with offices in Luleå, Gällivare and Piteå.

Corporate travel in Umeå will be handled by Unlimited Travel Group from 4 May 2026.
