The travel and event group Unlimited Travel reports sales of SEK 141 million (108) in the first quarter of 2023.

The gross margin was 18.2 percent (20.5) and the operating profit at EBITA level was SEK -1.7 million (1.2). Earnings per share were SEK -0.41 (-0.12).

”"Despite the economic downturn, inflation and a pressured economic situation, we do not feel that customers want to save on travel and experiences. We see continued strong demand in private travel," writes CEO Charlotte Blum in the report.

The booking situation in 2023 is reported to be better than the first quarter of the previous year and in terms of sales it was stronger than the last comparable normal year 2019.

”"While long-distance travel has picked up, interest in local travel in Sweden and the Nordic region remains high, which several companies have taken note of with an expanded range. The trend from last year that more people are booking their trips with shorter notice remains," writes Charlotte Blum.
