The Trump administration has decided to ban all Chinese passenger flights from traveling to the United States starting in mid-June, CNBC reports.

The announcement comes after China has not given the American airlines Delta and United the necessary permits to fly to China again after flights were suspended due to the corona pandemic.

The decision affects the Chinese airlines Air China, China Eastern, China Southern and Xiamen.

Flights arriving from Hong Kong will not be affected by the ban.

According to CNBC, there were 325 flights a week between the countries with American or Chinese airlines in January.
