In the US, the aviation authority has ordered American airlines to inspect cracks in the wing mounts on the Boeing 737 NG aircraft type.
It affects over 1,900 planes.
The aircraft's wing mounts are designed to last the entire lifespan of the aircraft.
NG is the predecessor to the 737 Max model, which is grounded globally after two accidents in a short period of time.
