For quite some time now, everyone who has traveled within the United States has had to take off their shoes at security, which is generally a hassle. But now that's the end of it, as a message from Homeland Security says that you no longer need to take off your shoes.

The reason is a new X-ray technology that will be able to detect threats in shoe soles without travelers having to take off their clothes. This simply means that you who travel to the US, even from Sweden, can go through security with your shoes on. However, there is still a requirement to remove laptops, liquids and jackets from your bags.
