Västflyg is launching a brand new flight route from Trollhättan-Vänersborg to Scandinavian Mountains Airport Sälen-Trysil.

The route will operate on Thursdays and Sundays during the period December 21, 2023 to March 10, 2024. The airline is the first in the world with the highest possible blend of renewable aviation fuel, which reduces carbon dioxide emissions by up to 40%.

– This is great news. We get a lot of questions about flights from Western Sweden and this means that they can now quickly and easily get up to our fantastic mountain world. Says Gunnar Lenman, CEO of Scandinavian Mountains Airport.

– With our short transfer to the ski resorts, a traveler can be standing at the lift dressed in skis with their ski boots fastened just 2-3 hours after departure. I am sure that the people of western Sweden will appreciate that. I also believe that it is unique on the market, continues Gunnar Lenman.

Winter season flight routes

Västflyg's news means that 9 flight routes will now operate from Scandinavian Mountains Airport in the coming winter season. The destinations are London, Groningen, Amsterdam, Aalborg, Copenhagen, Stockholm-Bromma, Ängelholm, Malmö and Trollhättan-Vänersborg.
