Britain threatens ten years in prison for people who violate entry rules,

This applies to anyone who provides false information upon entry to try to hide that they have been to a red-listed country.

The country's new strict rules don't stop there:

Anyone who fails to take a PCR test upon entry will be fined £1,000. This doubles to £2,000 for those who fail to take a second test.

People who have travelled from a red-listed country must stay in a hotel quarantine for ten days. Failure to do so will result in a fine of between £5,000 and £10,000.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock says he is making no excuses with the new rules.
