
Space tourism company Virgin Galactic aims to launch its commercial space tourism service at the end of June, according to a press release.
The flight, which will be called Galactic 01, is scheduled to take place between June 27 and 30. The next commercial flight, Galactic 02, is scheduled for early August. After that, flights are planned to take place on a monthly basis.
Galactic 1 will transport three members of the Italian Air Force who will carry out tests.
The stock rose over 40 percent in after-hours trading on Thursday evening. In regular trading, the stock had lost 7.7 percent.
