As the only organization in Sweden, Visit Skåne AB now takes a place in the European Union's expert group on tourism, Together for EU Tourism – T4T. This means a unique opportunity to participate and influence large and important issues that benefit the tourism ecosystem as a whole.
The initiative behind Together for EU Tourism – T4T is part of a larger transformation effort within the EU where the tourism and hospitality industry will be a priority. Visit Skåne's Deputy CEO Carla Aguirre Mouritzen will become an advisor within the EU on issues such as green transition, digitalization, skills supply and sustainability.
–It is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in influencing the EU's tourism initiatives, address important challenges and mobilize commitment in a transformation effort we all need to contribute to, says Carla Aguirre Mouritzen, Vice President at Visit Skåne AB.
As a member of the expert group, Carla Aguirre Mouritzen will continuously meet with colleagues to, among other things, discuss and highlight good examples that can be disseminated, support transition initiatives in member countries and provide advice.
–We are convinced that tourism increases the quality of life for residents and visitors, attracts businesses and creates more appealing places for everyone. But to be effective, tourism must be planned and integrated as a natural part of social development. And that is what we want to influence in T4T, says Carla Aguirre Mouritzen, Vice President at Visit Skåne AB.
