During two intense and inspiring days, Blekinge had the opportunity to show off its very best to Visit Sweden. The purpose of the visit was to deepen knowledge and understanding of the local tourism industry – and it was two days filled with strong impressions and good meetings.
Together with Region Blekinge, all of Blekinge's municipalities, Blekinge Archipelago and a wide range of committed stakeholders, a wide range of experiences were presented – from world heritage and archipelago life to sustainable nature tourism, place stories and taste experiences. Guided tours, meetings with local entrepreneurs and insights into both history and future visions were offered.
– It is fantastic to be able to show the breadth, power and genuine commitment that exists within the tourism industry in Blekinge. By bringing together all these players and creating a joint program, we have been able to show the potential our county has, says Visit Blekinge.
An important visit for Blekinge's future visibility
Welcoming Visit Sweden – Sweden's official marketing company for travel to Sweden – is a valuable opportunity for Blekinge. Through their international network, campaigns and platforms, Swedish destinations have the chance to reach new target groups worldwide.
The visit strengthens the opportunities for Blekinge to become a clearer part of the national image of Sweden and to be visible in future international marketing efforts. It also creates a deeper dialogue between the local and national levels – something that is crucial for developing a sustainable and attractive tourism industry.
