Following the successful launch of its first gourmet cruise on the Danube, starting and ending in Vienna in November 2025, it reveals VIVA Cruises the next chapter in the collaboration with the highly regarded wine and gourmet magazine Falstaff:

The culinary standard and premium all-inclusive concept are enhanced through the collaboration with the internationally recognised wine expert, Master of Wine and wine editor at Falstaff, Romana Echensperger.

Romana will henceforth act as sommelier for the entire VIVA Cruises fleet, where she will be responsible for redefining the wine offering and participating in future gourmet cruises with wine presentations.

The two gourmet cruises focus on France and Portugal respectively:

  • A six-day journey along the Seine in November, where the Christmas atmosphere in Paris transitions into Normandy's winter landscape and culinary experiences in a class of their own
  • In October 2026, the trip to Portugal will be a seven-day gourmet cruise through the Douro Valley – one of Europe's most beautiful wine regions.
