Åresumes flight route between Barcelona and Gothenburg Landvetter Airport in mid-June with two departures per week.
Spanish low-cost carrier Vueling Airlines, part of IAG (International Airlines Group), is returning to Gothenburg and Landvetter after a long hiatus. They will resume service to the Catalan capital starting on June 11 with two weekly flights every Friday and Sunday.
Spain is a popular tourist destination from Sweden and a large proportion of expatriate Swedes live in the country.
The airline is currently the only one operating the route and there are currently no flights to Spain from Gothenburg Landvetter Airport (GOT). Via connecting flights from their hub Barcelona International Airport – El Prat (BCN), Vueling Airlines enables Swedish travelers to reach more than 15 destinations in Spain.
The airline has been operating in Sweden since 2012 and in addition to the flight route from Gothenburg Landvetter Airport which is launched in June, Vueling offers daily direct flights from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Barcelona.
