Never before has such a warm November night been recorded in Denmark. Between Sunday and Monday, the average temperature was 13.3 degrees, DR and TV2 report.
The average night temperature is measured in Denmark from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. 13.3 degrees is the highest value recorded since measurements began in 1874.
The warmest temperature was in Skrydstrup in southern Jutland, 15.8 degrees, according to the weather authority DMI.
Such high temperatures are normally associated with summer. It is too late in the season for meteorologists to talk about summer, but the values are in accordance with the Swedish definition of summer, which stipulates that the daily temperature should be above 10 degrees.
