An aircraft en route from Arlanda to Barcelona has been forced to turn back after a warning alarm. There were 188 passengers on board.

– We were not told that there was anything wrong with the plane. The staff just said that we would land at Arlanda again, says a passenger. At 9:20 p.m., the police, rescue services and the Swedish Maritime Administration were alerted that the plane needed to land at Arlanda

– As we circled in the air, people started checking each other out. We didn't realize that anything was wrong with the plane, so I would still describe the atmosphere as calm, a passenger tells Aftonbladet.

Shortly after 10 p.m., the aircraft was able to land again. Sarah Neergaard, press officer for Norwegian, says a hydraulic system had failed.

“It's nothing dangerous, but we turned around to make sure everything looked good,” she says. She also says that the passengers and flight crew are fine.

– Everyone is fine. We believe that we will be able to fix the problem, she says. The plane was supposed to fly to Barcelona. It is unclear when they will be able to resume flying again.
