A warning alarm was triggered this morning at Arlanda Airport.

A plane taking off from Arlanda Airport has misindicated and reported that the plane had collided with a bird in the air, a "bird strike", according to the emergency services.

– We have alerted our resources and most of them are already on site, says Lena Hoffman, command operator at the rescue service.

The plane is now dumping fuel to be able to return to Arlanda.

At 11:30 am, Swedavia announced that the plane, with 179 passengers on board, had landed and that everything had gone well.
