WestJet is resuming its direct route between Copenhagen and Halifax for the 2027 summer season. Starting May 28, 2027, the Canadian airline will fly the route three times a week, with an expansion to four weekly departures starting June 28.
The seasonal route will make it easier for travelers from the Nordics to visit Halifax and Nova Scotia, a region that has become increasingly popular for nature, coastal and touring trips in Atlantic Canada.
Three departures a week from May
Between May 28 and June 27, 2027, the line will operate on the following days:
- Copenhagen–Halifax: Monday, Wednesday and Friday (11:50–14:05)
- Halifax–Copenhagen: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday (10:35 PM–10:15 AM the following day)
Four departures from the end of June
From June 28, 2027, traffic will be expanded with an additional weekly frequency.
Then WestJet flies:
- Copenhagen–Halifax: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday
- Halifax–Copenhagen: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
The flights are already available in the booking systems and can be booked for the summer of 2027.
WestJet sees the return to Copenhagen as a way to strengthen connections between the Nordics and Atlantic Canada and provide tour operators with better opportunities to package trips to Halifax and Nova Scotia.
