Ving cancels several autumn trips

Ving is postponing a number of departures from smaller airports this autumn until the end of the year. This includes eight departures from Borlänge to Gran Canaria.

Reduced demand due to the pandemic is cited as the reason.

”"Unfortunately, we have to adapt our program based on the outside world where several restrictions have been introduced," says Annika Hansen at Ving to Dalabygden.

For the company Dalaflyget, which operates Dala Airport in Borlänge and Mora/Siljan Airport, this means a financial loss.

”"The cancelled flights in turn mean that we are forced to continue short-term layoffs of our staff. Sad but unfortunately necessary," says airport manager Mats Hakkarainen to Dalabygden.
