According to booking statistics from travel agency Tickets, bookings to Milan in February increased by 158 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase coincides with Milan being the host city for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Milan is at the center of the 2026 Winter Olympics, which will be held from February 6–22, 2026. In connection with the Olympic period, travel agency Ticket's booking statistics show that the number of bookings to the city has increased by 158 percent compared to the same period last year.
“Booking statistics show that Milan has taken a clear step up in February. There is a noticeable change in demand for travel to the city compared to last year,” says Tiyoneh Jah, PR and communications manager at travel agency Ticket.
Ticket has previously seen similar developments in connection with other major international events. Ahead of and after the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, there was a heightened interest in the city that continued even after the games ended. Against this background, it will now be interesting to follow how demand for travel to Milan develops in the future.
