102 passengers and 13 crew members on the cruise ship Caribbean Princess have been infected with norovirus, which causes winter vomiting disease. ABC News reports this, citing the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

In response to the outbreak, the crew reportedly increased cleaning onboard the vessel and isolated those who had fallen ill, as well as collecting stool samples from them for testing.

The ship, which has over 3,000 passengers, is currently in the North Atlantic and is expected to reach Port Canaveral in the state of Florida on Monday. The cruise's final destination is the Dominican Republic.
