Today, Visby Collection is launched, the new brand behind several of Visby's well-known hotels and meeting places. The name reflects the company's development while strengthening its position as a unified player in Visby's tourism industry.

”We are proud of our Gotland roots and what we have built up in Visby over the years. With Visby Collection, we are positioning ourselves as a long-term player, and we want to make it easier to access our entire offering. The goal is a smoother path from initial contact to execution, whether it's a weekend trip, a wedding, or our larger conferences,” says Anna Dahl Tillander, CEO, Burgsvik Group Region East.

The Visby Collection is backed by Burgsvik Group, a family-owned group with Gotlandic origins. The name Burgsvik comes from the parish in southern Gotland where the founder, Dan Tervaniemi, was born and where the family's journey began. The local connection has remained throughout the years and is still an important part of the company's identity.

”We have developed a great deal in recent years. Today, we encompass significantly more than hotels, where the Visby Collection name describes both the breadth of our offering and our common direction forward,” says Mikaela Ahdrian, Business Area Manager, Visby Collection.

Unlike a traditional chain, Visby Collection is not built around uniformity. Each hotel, restaurant, and meeting venue has its own history, personality, and identity. The new name brings the businesses together under a common sender while preserving the unique locations. Together, they create a broader and stronger whole for those who want to experience Visby.
