Aircraft manufacturers Boeing and Airbus are receiving heavy criticism from Wizz Air CEO Jozsef Varadi. The CEO questions internal controls following the recent accident with a Boeing plane, where part of the aircraft became detached during a flight over the United States.

"I think they should improve that process and their organization. They should put more resources and capacity into this," Varadi says in an interview.

The CEO is not only critical of the manufacturers but also blames regulatory authorities, who he claims have a "fairly friendly" relationship with the companies.

”"It feels like the manufacturers are almost 'married' to these. They need to take on a proper role," he says.

Wizz Air has no Boeing planes in its fleet but uses aircraft models from competitor Airbus.
