As some European countries begin to ease lockdown restrictions, low-cost airline Wizz Air is planning to launch new routes from London Luton Airport. Wizz Air plans to start flying to the holiday destination of Faro in Portugal from mid-June and to fly to a number of destinations in Greece from July.

At the same time, the company states that it has introduced new rules for flights, such as requiring all staff and passengers to wear face masks.

European air traffic has essentially ground to a halt during the coronavirus outbreak, with the entire industry bleeding. As one of the first airlines in Europe, Wizz Air resumed a number of commercial flights from London and Vienna on May 1.
