Croatia Airlines, the Croatian Tourist Board and the Zagreb Tourist Board presented the new year-round Zagreb – Stockholm route yesterday in Stockholm.

This is a former seasonal route that, thanks to the great interest of travelers and the strategic importance of connecting the Croatian and Swedish capitals, will now be available until January 9, 2026. The route operates three times a week – Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays – and return tickets are available via www.croatiaairlines.hr from 149 euros.

The seasonal flights between Zagreb and Stockholm, which were introduced in the summer 2024 timetable and continued during this year's tourist season, will now – as Sales Manager Marija Pavić emphasized during the presentation – also be offered during the winter season:

– By extending the Zagreb – Stockholm route to the winter timetable, we meet the expectations of our passengers and at the same time strategically strengthen our route network. The flights during the winter period provide even greater mobility for both the business and tourist sectors and further strengthen the connection between Sweden and Croatia. We are pleased that with this extension we are also improving Zagreb's tourist offer and traffic connections with the outside world. An additional advantage is that passengers will have the opportunity to experience first-class travel in our new Airbus A220 aircraft, which are part of our ongoing fleet renewal, said Marija Pavić.

She added that this winter, Croatia Airlines is taking further steps by extending flights on some seasonal routes as well as increasing the total number of flights and available seats compared to last winter.

In addition to Stockholm, direct international flights from Zagreb to Berlin and Barcelona are being extended. During the winter schedule, almost 10,000 flights are planned with a total of approximately 1,184,000 seats – an increase of 7.7 million more flights and 21 million more seats compared to the same period last year.

During the winter of 2025/2026, Croatia Airlines will operate flights from Zagreb to a total of 16 international destinations: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Vienna, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, London (Heathrow), Mostar, Munich, Paris, Rome (via Split/Dubrovnik), Sarajevo, Skopje, Stockholm and Zurich.

Martina Bienenfeld, head of the Zagreb Tourist Board, commented:

This air connection further strengthens the Croatian capital's position as an attractive city break and business destination, and makes it easier for Swedish guests to visit Zagreb all year round. We are particularly pleased that this contributes to an increased exchange of ideas, projects and visitors between Zagreb and Stockholm, and opens up an even stronger presence for Zagreb on the Scandinavian market."”

Vedran Sušić, director of the Croatian Tourist Board in Stockholm, added:

”"We hope that the new year-round line will put Zagreb on the map as a new weekend favorite for Swedes. With this initiative, we create the conditions for more spontaneous and inspiring trips between our capitals - all year round."”

Yesterday's presentation in Stockholm once again emphasized the importance of this air connection for the development of tourism and business, and Croatia Airlines once again confirmed its role as Croatia's ambassador on the international market.
