SAS and the pilot associations have agreed on a one-year collective agreement. It is a zero-sum agreement in which the pilots also forgo a previously agreed salary increase of four percent this year, the Swedish Pilot Association writes in a press release.
”"Today we accept a proposal that SAS presented during the negotiations. The agreement involves a real wage reduction for all pilots in SAS," says Christian Laulund, chairman of SAS Pilot Group, in the press release.
”"The company is in a pressured situation and many of our colleagues have been dismissed or laid off. Now we hope that this agreement contributes to a good dialogue with SAS management, for the benefit of both employees and our passengers," he continues.
