British Airways has apologized to its customers after flights from the United States were canceled due to a technical problem, writes the BBC.

In a statement, the airline said it was investigating a problem that arose with a third party responsible for planning.

On social media, travelers have testified to being stuck at airports for several hours.

”"We are sorry for any disruption this may cause to our customers' plans. Our aim is for flights to depart as quickly as possible," British Airways wrote in a statement.
