
Caroline Åstrand has been appointed as the new CEO of MTR Nordic AB, and will therefore responsibility for MTR's Nordic operations. Caroline Åstrand, who is currently CEO of MTR Tunnelbanan, will take up her new role on 14 August.
Earlier this year, Henrik Dahlin, CEO of MTR Nordic AB, announced that after ten years with MTR, he would be leaving the company for a new role outside the organisation. It has now been confirmed that Caroline Åstrand, currently CEO of MTR Tunnelbanan, will be taking over as CEO of MTR Nordic.

Over its fourteen years in Sweden, MTR has grown from a company with 2,700 employees to encompassing six companies with more than 6,000 employees, and is today one of Stockholm's largest private employers. I know the expertise and drive that exists within the organisation, and together we will continue to develop both our own operations and Sweden's public transport and railways, says Caroline Åstrand, incoming CEO of MTR Nordic AB.
Caroline Åstrand has over 20 years of experience working with rail transport, including at SJ where she worked for a total of ten years with both long-distance and regional services. In January 2020, Caroline took up her position as CEO of MTR Tunnelbanan, a business that has steadily developed in recent years. Under Caroline's leadership, both punctuality and customer satisfaction have reached record levels.
