Catalonia's culinary excellence continues to shine as nine restaurants receive their first Michelin stars in the 2025 edition of the prestigious Michelin Guide. The newly named restaurants are Casa Nova, Citrus del Tancat, Divine, Esperite Roca, Fishology, Mae, Prodigy, Teatro Kitchen & Baror We are.
The region's top restaurants retained their three-star status: ABaC, Cocina Hermanos Torres, Disfrutaroch Lasarte in Barcelona, and Celler de Can Roca in Girona.
In addition to culinary excellence, Catalonia's commitment to sustainability was recognized, with four restaurants awarded the Green Star for their work in sustainable gastronomy. These are Bistrot 1965 in Castelló d'Empúries, Espai Amunt in Ulldecona, La Boscanai Bellvís and Restaurant 1497 in Vallromanes. The Green Star recognizes restaurants that contribute to sustainable gastronomy, respect for nature and a vision for a sustainable future.
Catalonia now has a total of 77 Michelin stars, distributed across the regions: 46 in Barcelona, 20 in Girona, 8 in Tarragona and 3 in Lleida.
