Quality Hotel Match, a shining pearl on the shores of Lake Vättern, will open on September 1. The newly built hotel will be managed by Catarina Halldén, a seasoned Jönköping profile with many years of experience.

The new Quality Hotel Match will truly be a landmark on the edge of Lake Vättern with its 18 floors and magnificent views from the hotel rooms, conference rooms and relaxation area. The hotel will be a natural connection between the historic Match area, travel center and the city when it opens. Catarina Halldén, who has been recruited to the job as hotel director, has over 20 years of experience in the hotel industry in Jönköping and currently runs Comfort Hotel Jönköping.

– As soon as I found out that we were going to open a new hotel here in 2018, I knew that yes, I want to be the hotel manager there. A few years and a recruitment process later, the time is almost here, and it will be so incredibly fun. My focus right now is on recruiting good staff and as soon as we open, I look forward to developing the range of food and experiences together with the other players in the area. We want to be a meeting place for both Jönköping residents and visitors from other cities so we can show what a fantastic place Jönköping is, says Catarina Halldén, incoming hotel manager.

On the ground floor of the hotel, in the historic building from the late 19th century, Brasserie NÒR is currently being built, which will serve classic and uncomplicated Nordic food of high quality. The hotel will also have conference rooms with a capacity for 180 people, a gym, relaxation and 229 hotel rooms.

– I am so happy that Catarina wants to continue her career at Quality Hotel Match. Her extensive experience from the industry and knowledge of the city are exactly what is needed when we are going to open such an important hotel in Jönköping. I am sure that her energy will be appreciated by the staff and guests who visit the hotel, says Susanna Ståhl, Director of Operations for Quality Hotel.
