SJ announces that it will compensate customers who were affected by the booking disruption during this year's release of Christmas and New Year tickets. This is reported by SVT.
For two days, customers were sent out of the booking system due to technical problems, which caused prices to increase. The site also crashed at first.
As a consequence of the high pressure, the automated ticket price increased. SJ now announces that customers who were affected by the automated prices will be compensated.
”"We have decided tonight to compensate customers who, despite being out in good time, had to pay a higher price," says Monica Lingegård, CEO of SJ.
The compensation is based on a price cap for the tickets sold.
