The airline SAS is subject to an IT attack where the website is not functioning properly and travelers are urged to avoid the company's app.

”"We, just like other actors, have been subjected to a cyberattack today," says Anna Sandell, press manager at SAS.

Whoever wanted booking a flight with the company on Tuesday afternoon encountered a patrol. An error message was displayed when data was entered into the website's search field, and by evening the problems were still not resolved.

What or who is behind the attack is still unknown, as is what type of attack it is.

”We can only see that they are down and we are working hard to restore them and stop the attack,” says Sandell.

Several travelers have been met with incorrect account information in the SAS phone app. The company's communications manager Karin Nyman urges users not to log in there.

”"You're likely to get incorrect information, so we don't want you to go on the app," she says around 8 p.m.

According to Nyman, the company's passenger lists are affected by the attack.

At 9:40 p.m., SAS published a press release apologizing to the passengers affected by the attack and stating that the company is working to resolve the problems.
