On 1 July, Elisabeth Haglund will take up her position as the new Chair of the Board for Skepparholmen Nacka, a spa and conference hotel with a scenic location by the sea and lake.
Elisabeth Haglund has extensive and solid experience in the hotel and restaurant industry. She grew up in Ulricehamn where her parents ran the Kurhotellet, and she gained her first experience in hospitality at an early age. This was followed by language studies and education in France, Germany, and Switzerland.
After several seasons at Hotel Derby in Davos, Elisabeth was hired in 1982 as restaurant manager at Hotel Tylösand. Here, she had a successful career that eventually led to the role of CEO, a role she held for 23 years. Over the years, Elisabeth has gained extensive experience in board work and currently holds several significant positions. She is the Chair of the Board of AB Tylösands Havsbad, Vice Chair of Visita, and a member of BFUF, Svensk Turism, and HOTREC. HOTREC, also known as Hospitality Europe, is an umbrella organisation for hotels, restaurants, and similar businesses in Europe.
Elisabeth has a strong commitment to the industry and looks forward to contributing her extensive experience in her new role.
