The EU wants to reduce fossil emissions from aviation. In two years, they will introduce a reduction obligation for aviation fuels, reports SR Ekot.

Synthetic fuels, certain biofuels, and recycled fuel from gas or recycled land are considered sustainable. 

Airlines will also be required to provide information about climate impact so that it becomes easier to compare their climate footprint.
