The airline Finnair will resume its flights to Tartu in Estonia from June 2, after a break of just over a month.
The pause in flights was caused by GPS interference in the area, which in some cases prevented planes from taking off and landing.
An alternative solution that does not require a GPS signal has now been developed, allowing traffic to resume. The new methods are instead based on radio signals sent from ground stations, Finnair announces.
At the end of April, several flights were canceled due to GPS interference and two planes were forced to return to Vantaa Airport in Helsinki for the same reason.
Finnair is the only airline that flies internationally from Tartu.
