Finnair has received the highest rating, Five Star Global Official Airline Rating, from the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) for 2026. The awards are based on certified traveler feedback, where over one million flights with nearly 600 airlines worldwide have been evaluated.

“This award has a special meaning for us as it reflects the voices of our customers. It is a testament to our team's commitment to improving our customers' travel experience every day,” says Eerika Enne, Head of Inflight Customer Experience at Finnair.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Finnair has received the prestigious five-star award, based on neutral and independent passenger feedback. APEX is a global network that brings together the world's leading airlines, suppliers and partners.

“I am proud of the work our team has accomplished – and continues to do – to ensure that we continue to live up to this high standard. We would like to extend a warm thank you to our customers for their recognition and for choosing Finnair,” continues Enne.

Understanding customer needs is at the core of Finnair's business. Particular emphasis is placed on operational punctuality and reliability, which in August 2025 amounted to 99.3 percent, as well as on a seamless customer journey – from digital channels and customer service to the on-board experience and cabin design. Over the past year, Finnair has renewed the cabins of its entire long-haul fleet, opened a new and larger lounge on the Schengen side of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, and started the modernization of the cabins of its Embraer aircraft.
