Switzerland has declared five days of national mourning after the fire disaster in Crans-Montana, reports The Guardian.
Around 40 people died and 115 were injured in the nightclub fire.
The country's president, Guy Parmelin, says Switzerland owes it to the young people whose "plans, hopes and dreams" came to an abrupt end to ensure that such a tragedy never happens again.
