After an extensive recruitment process during the spring, the board of Visit Blekinge has decided on a new CEO. Fredrik Jenfjord, Lomma will take office on August 1 as the new CEO of Visit Blekinge.

Fredrik Jenfjord has extensive experience in management work with a focus on the tourism industry and destination development, including within the Öresund Bridge Consortium. As a leader, he has experience in leading teams, managers and specialists in complex environments with many stakeholders.

– I am very happy to be able to introduce Fredrik Jenfjord as the new CEO. He has an exciting background that will bring new perspectives to Visit Blekinge and, together with the board, continue to develop and strengthen the marketing of Blekinge, says Elin Petersson (m), chairman of Visit Blekinge AB.

Fredrik Jenfjord – what do you see as the greatest potential in the marketing assignment, Visit Blekinge AB?

– With a unique mix of fantastic outdoor environments, innovative power, academia and proximity to Europe, Blekinge has great potential to be attractive to many target groups. Together with the board, colleagues, business and other stakeholders, I look forward to embarking on a journey to give Blekinge the opportunity to reach its full potential.

Until Fredrik is in place in Blekinge, the board has appointed Lotta Johansson as acting CEO. Lotta is currently project manager at Visit Blekinge.
