Next year, Gröna Lund is bringing back the entrance ticket, the Green Card, and free entry for pensioners, to enable more people to visit the amusement park.
Since the pandemic, visitors to the amusement park have only been able to purchase one type of ticket, the Ticket-to-Ride, which included both entry and rides. However, price increases and high interest rates have made it difficult for many to make ends meet, not least families with children and the elderly. Therefore, in spring 2024, Gröna Lund is bringing back the option to purchase just I entered For those who, for example, want to camp for five days, eat at the restaurants, or accompany riders (the entrance ticket will cost from 100 SEK). In addition, the Grönan Live pass, which gave free entry to concert and dance evenings, will be removed. Instead, the classic entrance card Green Card Back in digital form. The Green Card will cost 395 SEK and grants free entry on all summer days, including concert and dance evenings. Another piece of good news is that there will be free entry for everyone aged 65 and over, as well as free entry and free rides for all children aged 0-3.
– In light of the pandemic, we needed to limit the number of guests in the park and therefore introduced a ticket that included both entry and rides. Now that reality looks different and households are facing financial difficulties, we want to lower the barrier to visiting. Many have missed the opportunity to simply purchase entry, which is why we are reintroducing it. Gröna Lund should be for everyone, says Jan Eriksson, CEO of Gröna Lund.
From next year, visitors will be able to choose the ticket type that best suits what they want to experience in the park. If you only want a one-day entry ticket, you purchase an entrance ticket. If you want free entry for the whole season, you buy the Green Card, which also includes all concerts and dance evenings. If you want to ride the carousels all day, there is still an entrance and ride package deal, Ticket-to-Ride, which also includes Jetpass (express queue for selected attractions), but you will also be able to purchase individual ride coupons or ride books to share.
One change that guests appreciated after the pandemic was the limitation on the number of visitors at the amusement park, as they were able to go on more rides during their visit. Gröna Lund is also capitalising on this by introducing a cap on the number of wristbands sold per day and retaining the Jetpass system.
– We've listened to our visitors, cherry-picked the best bits, and created a combination that suits all different target audiences. I'm really looking forward to welcoming riders and concert-goers, restaurant visitors, 5-kampers, and strollers next season, says Jan Eriksson, CEO of Gröna Lund.
