European aircraft manufacturer Airbus reports revenue for the first quarter of 2025 above analysts' expectations.
Revenue was 13.5 billion euros, compared to the expected 13.3 billion euros.
At the same time, earnings per share of 1.01 euros were above the preliminary estimate of 0.76 euros per share. Net profit of 793 million euros was also better than expected.
Airbus reiterates its forecast to deliver 820 commercial aircraft by 2025. However, the company emphasizes that the target does not take into account the outcome of the tariffs and writes in the report that it assumes "no further disruptions to world trade or the global economy.".
Regarding tariffs, Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury writes that they are evaluating the situation and that it is too early to calculate the effect at this time.
The forecasts of an adjusted EBITA result of EUR 7.0 billion and a free cash flow before customer financing of EUR 4.5 billion were also reiterated.
