The Human Spectra company operates the tourism facilities Aurora Safari Camp in Gunnarsbyn and The Outpost. Aurora Safari Camp is beautifully situated by a lake and consists of small cabins with a nice view of the sky and the surrounding nature. The Outpost is a lodge located in the small village of Mårdsel. Between these facilities it is possible to travel through the forest by snowmobile or dog sled. During the autumn the company has made investments in the facilities, especially Aurora Safari Camp where the cabins have been renovated to a higher standard. The owner Jonas Gejke, who is an experienced entrepreneur in tourism, says that the customer group is mainly foreign visitors, but also Swedish event groups from various companies. Jonas has 25 years of experience in arranging visitor trips to Africa, especially Kenya, but also other countries.

-The fact is that the similarities between offering visitor experiences in Africa and in the nature of Norrbotten are surprisingly large. At the same time, of course, the differences are also large. But what is common is that the experience is at the center, says Jonas Gejke.

Originally, it was northern lights experiences that customers mainly requested, but now it is above all the breathing space to get away from stress and noise and experience the silence and a different lifestyle. 

"Something that is unique here is the absence of various sounds and light pollution that otherwise surround our visitors. They also experience how powerful it is to be able to travel for miles through the forest without meeting another human being," says Jonas.

Jonas Gejke has extensive experience in arranging hot air balloon trips over the African savannah. This experience will also be offered in Norrbotten. This gives visitors a good opportunity to take in the vast nature and see wildlife, such as moose grazing in the winter.

-Jonas has an impressive network of contacts after so many years in the hospitality industry. This means that he can recruit competent people from all over the world to come and work as guides or hosts in the business.
