Copenhagen Airport Kastrup experienced double-digit passenger growth in April.

Marketwire writes that a total of 2.4 million passengers used the airport's terminals in April, which corresponds to growth of over 10 percent compared to the same month last year.

As a comparison, Kastrup had just over 2.5 million passengers in April 2019, i.e. before the coronavirus pandemic.

”We can see that the underlying desire to travel is still very strong,” states Peter Krogsgaard, Commercial Director at Copenhagen Airport, to Marketwire.

It further appears that the number of travellers using Copenhagen Airport for transit has increased. In April, around half a million transfer passengers passed through Copenhagen, which was over 100,000 more than in April 2023.

”This strengthens our position as the largest traffic hub in Northern Europe and shows that we are an attractive airport with a broad network of routes,” continues Peter Krogsgaard.
