This will be Marcus Axelsson, who is currently the administrative manager for the Growth and Development Sector in Eksjö Municipality. He will take office on February 18.

– I have worked with growth and development issues for a long time and it is with great respect that I enter this assignment. There is a lot happening in Jönköping and I think this is an exciting position where I want to build on the solid work that forms the basis of Destination Jönköping. Now I hope to be able to contribute with new fresh thoughts and ideas.

Marcus Axelsson is a behavioral scientist by background and currently works as the administrative manager for the Growth and Development Sector in Eksjö Municipality. He has extensive experience in public administration, where he has been the administrative manager, business manager and CEO of the municipal business company eksjö.nu AB for twelve years. Marcus has been involved in creating the cultural and event city of Eksjö, where several major events have been linked to the municipality, such as Eksjö City Festival, Eksjö Tattoo, Midnight Sun Rally and Diggiloo.
