European aircraft manufacturer Airbus reported a slightly weaker margin than expected in the fourth quarter, according to the interim report, which also contained weaker forecasts than estimates.
Airbus delivered adjusted operating profit of 2.6 billion euros in the fourth quarter. Operating profit of 2.7 billion euros was expected, according to estimates collected by S&P Global Market Intelligence.
Revenue of EUR 24.7 billion was slightly higher than the expected EUR 24.1 billion.
A dividend of EUR 2.00 per share is proposed for 2024. The expectation was EUR 2.15 per share. In addition, an extra dividend of EUR 1.00 per share is proposed.
In its forecasts, Airbus predicts adjusted profit for the full year 2025 of ”around 7 billion euros,” which compares with an estimate of 7.3 billion euros. Free cash flow before customer financing is expected to amount to 4.5 billion euros. The expectation was 4.6 billion euros.
In the report, Airbus talks about supply chain problems that are disrupting manufacturing operations, but still sets a higher target for the number of plane deliveries in 2025 than what was the outcome in 2024. Airbus expects to deliver 820 planes (766).
