The number of Swedes visiting the Alps during the summer season has increased since 2012, and today a full 27 percent of SalzburgerLand's summer visitors come from Sweden. With new direct flights from Stockholm and Copenhagen to Salzburg in Austria, it has never been easier to go on a summer holiday to the Alps.
The Austrian Alps – a success all year round
The Austrian region of SalzburgerLand is the most popular ski destination among Swedes, and the beautiful Austrian landscape and the wide range of outdoor activities attract more and more Swedes to SalzburgerLand even during the summer. Today, a full 27 percent of SalzburgerLand's summer visitors are Swedes and 55 percent of these come because of the destination's magnificent nature. With EuroWing's new direct flights from Stockholm and Copenhagen to Salzburg, it will now be even more attractive for Swedes to travel to the Alps during the summer holidays.

Paradise for sun and beach lovers
In Zell am See-Kaprun you can spend your holiday in unique nature. Here, glaciers, mountains and lakes set the scene for your holiday and the opportunities in the Austrian region are almost as varied as the landscape of the area. Discover the Kitzsteinhorn glacier or the Schmittenhöhe viewpoint. Lake Zeller is a paradise for beachgoers and bathers. Obertauern has over 280 kilometers of hiking trails, 20 mountains and 11 idyllic mountain lakes where visitors can take a refreshing dip in the sun. An alternative and exciting way to experience these Austrian waters is to swim in the moonlight. On August 12, when the moon is at its highest in the sky and reflects itself in the night-black lake, Hotel Hochalm is organizing a truly unique event where guests, together with guides, swim out to a large, illuminated beach ball that lies in the water like a floating moon.

Cycling holiday in Austria's largest cycling region
