All flights to and from Munich International Airport were cancelled late on Sunday after the control tower reported smoke development.
The international airport in southern Germany, where many flights with transit passengers, including those to Sweden, land, was forced to suspend operations after the control tower had to be evacuated.
According to the spokesperson, traffic management had warned about smoke development around 8:30 PM, and the tower was evacuated as a safety measure.
It was uncertain when traffic could resume at the airport.
