The exhibition Crossing Borders – Smart Design shows Swedish design products in digital communication, digital production and design for sustainable development.
The exhibition, which opens today, will welcome all travelers flying from Malmö Airport and is a collaboration between the National Museum and Swedavia.
Thanks to digital technology, we can not only communicate with the objects in our everyday lives, but things can also communicate with us. For example, the exhibition shows a bicycle helmet where the helmet can inform the outside world about hard braking or communicate the geographical position if the wearer becomes unconscious.
– We are very pleased to present the collaboration with the National Museum and the exhibition series Crossing Borders. Malmö Airport is located in the middle of the innovative Öresund region and therefore we are a very good arena to showcase our entire country's innovative power. In addition, it is a natural part of our work at the airport to be able to offer flexible logistics solutions in a design that is appealing to our travelers. It is truly a fitting collaboration, says Peter Weinhandl, Airport Manager at Malmö Airport.
