Finnish petroleum company Neste says it has supplied sustainable aviation fuel to airline Emirates, which intends to use it for its flights from Singapore Changi Airport, according to a press release.

Emirates is the first international operator to use Neste SAF at the airport, produced at Neste’s Singapore refinery. Over 2,600 tonnes (3.3 million litres) of blended SAF has been delivered into the Changi Airport refuelling system in recent weeks.

The delivery is part of the partnership the companies announced in October 2023. Earlier this year, Neste delivered over 6,000 tonnes of blended SAF to Emirates at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

”We are delighted that Emirates has started using Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel at Changi Airport as the latest step in our collaboration,” said Alexander Kueper, Vice President of Renewable Aviation Business at Neste.
