Laudamotion launches a direct route between Vienna and Gothenburg Landvetter Airport.
The Austrian airline is part of the Ryanair Group and is named after founder and F1 driver Niki Lauda. Laudamotion has previously launched its first route from Gothenburg and it will go to Stuttgart starting in April. Vienna is the airline's second destination from Gothenburg and the route will start operating on 27 October with two departures a week.
– It is very pleasing that we are getting another direct route to Vienna. It is one of the most sought-after destinations for travelers in our region. We see great demand from both private travelers and the region's business community, which has several common denominators with Austria. Both Vienna and Gothenburg are also popular weekend destinations, so we hope for many new visitors to both cities, says Anna Strömwall, Airport Director at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport.
“We have a great offer for price-conscious travelers. The new direct route between Vienna and Gothenburg is one of our new City Shuttle routes that I am convinced will increase the number of travelers to both destinations,” says Andreas Gruber, Managing Director at Laudamotion.
Laudamotion will start the direct route between Gothenburg and Vienna on October 27, 2019 with departures on Thursdays and Sundays. The aircraft type is an Airbus A320 with 180 seats.
