Aircraft manufacturer Boeing has offered striking workers a 30 percent pay increase over four years. It reports Financial Times.
The new offer, which is said to be the last from the company, is an increase from the previous 25 percent. As icing on the cake, it also includes, among other things, a reinstated bonus and improved pension terms.
The first offer was rejected by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District 751 union, resulting in its 33,000 members going on strike eleven days ago.
Exactly how much the strike is costing the company is shrouded in mystery, but Bank of America estimates that CNBC that the strike is costing Boeing about $50 million a day.
Boeing rises 2.8 percent after the announcement of the new offer.
