Norwegian and the Norwegian Pilot Union, which organizes pilots in Norway, have agreed on a collective agreement for 2022–2023. The agreement secures Norwegian jobs, while giving Norwegian the flexibility to handle the demanding winter season.

"Together, we now ensure flexibility and predictability, both for Norwegian and for our pilot colleagues. The agreement gives us seasonal flexibility, which we believe is absolutely necessary to be able to work cost-effectively throughout the winter season. Pilots are one of the professional groups that in recent years have had to adapt to a daily life with constant changes, and we as employers appreciate the mutual trust we have had during the negotiations and the work that the negotiating delegations on both sides have done," says Guro Poulsen, EVP People at Norwegian.

"The main priority has been to secure Norwegian jobs and I am very pleased that we have achieved that with this agreement. In addition, we will have greater predictability and better opportunities to plan the pilots' working days and free time. We have had conversations that have been demanding, but at the same time good and constructive," says Alf Hansen, leader of the Norwegian Pilot Union and a pilot at Norwegian. 

The company and the Norwegian Pilot Union also want to cooperate more closely in the future and thereby continue to strengthen the joint work to develop and seek solutions that contribute to Norwegian's competitiveness. The agreement covers 668 pilots employed in Norway and is valid from January this year to October 2023.
