Norwegian continues to focus on the West Swedish market. Ahead of the 2026 summer season, the well-known airline is expanding its route offering at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport with direct flights to Albania's capital, Tirana.
The route, which will be operated once a week starting on 19 June 2026, is a welcome addition to Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, meeting the demand from both Swedish holidaymakers wanting to discover Albanian culture and travellers wishing to visit family, friends and relatives.
– Norwegian's decision to expand at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport with a direct route to Tirana is a very welcome addition to the overall range of destinations from the airport. Our primary mission is to enable people to meet, whether for business or private reasons, and Norwegian, with its extensive network, plays an important role in connecting Western Sweden with the rest of Europe, says Anna Strömwall, Airport Manager at Göteborg Landvetter Airport.
– We are looking forward to welcoming travellers on board the direct route to Tirana from Gothenburg. It is gratifying to be able to continue launching new destinations and thus have the opportunity to offer a large, broad and varied route network from Swedish airports. In Sweden, Norwegian will operate over 60 routes to over 50 destinations next summer, says Charlotte Holmbergh, Communications Director at Norwegian.
Starting on 19 June 2026, Norwegian will operate the route Gothenburg Landvetter (GOT) – Tirana (TIA) once a week.
